About

I am Micael Katzman, a curious and multi-disciplinary problem solver with over 12 years of experience in designing user-centred products, defining company strategies, and improving internal processes.

My passion for design started at a young age, and it has guided my career as I continually strive to solve others’ needs through structured processes while fueling my insatiable curiosity.

My approach

I firmly believe that design brings significant value to businesses by understanding and prioritising the needs of both users and employees. By helping teams make informed decisions, we can ultimately drive higher revenues for the company.

My approach is centred around applying knowledge from different fields such as technology, human behaviour, and art, striking a balance between innovative ideas and proactive actions that yield measurable outcomes. This allowed me to bring a unique perspective to problem-solving in various industries, such as LED, printers, and travel.

Furthermore, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge with aspiring UX/UI designers, contributing to the growth and development of the field.

Additionally, I foster collaboration by connecting ideas and encouraging alternative approaches, always evaluating decisions based on company principles. I embrace failure as an opportunity for growth and focus on continuous learning and adaptation. This helps keep projects focused on the most relevant aspects, driving improvements through minimum-viable solutions and aligning design directions with immediate business needs.

My personal life

I currently reside in Barcelona, Spain, with my family, including our beloved cat.

My passion for computers and technology has been with me since childhood, leading me to explore various topics such as video games, programming, and design. This journey ultimately led me to pursue training as a graphic designer in 2012.

During my daily commute, I make the most of my time by reading books, now in electronic format, which allows me to continuously expand my knowledge across a wide range of subjects. This habit nurtures the loop between learning and curiosity that has shaped my specialisation in UX design in 2017.

It is through this dedication to continuous learning and staying up to date that I am able to deliver the best approach to any project I am involved in.
